Watercolor on Paper
This watercolor painting titled Ramayan is based on the nervous monkey army of Indian mythological hero prince Ram of the kingdom Ayodhya. When lord Ram called monkeys to join in his army to fight against the furious demon army of demon king Ravan of the island kingdom of Lanka, monkeys started getting nervous because they were untrained and very tiny in size in comparison to the strong and huge-sized demon army. It is the imagination of the artist that he painted faces of cute and innocent monkeys in a sequence of looking in one direction. The ocean surrounded India from three sides and was positioned by the Lankan demon army in form of Chilies to counter-attack the military of Ram.
