His statement -

I grew up watching my father paint, and I always knew I wanted to do the same. So began my journey of an art student from school to Sir J. J. School of Art. I consider myself lucky to have served my alma mater as a lecturer from the beginning of my career till my retirement from service. As a teacher one needs to teach various genres of painting. However, many a times a particular genre of painting appeals to us the most. Though I enjoy the company of people, by nature I am a quiet person. I am more of a listener. May be that is the reason I find a connection, solace and easier expression through trees - the quiet living world. So that's my favourite genre - expressionism through trees!

Post - retirement, I have been dedicating my time to explore new places and express them in my own style of painting.
