Sanjay Lokhande, a visual artist from Sholapur, Maharashtra, India belongs to a farmer family. His school-time hobby turned into a passion and completed GD Arts in 2008 which is the turning point of his life. 

For his journey as an artist, the role of his mother was very significant as he was inspired by his mother who taught him the meaning of life and its various versions which he tried to resonate with the paintings as well. He is also influenced by Gautam Buddha and his life and his thoughts about life. This is the reason he mostly does Buddha Paintings which gives him self-satisfaction too.

Throughout his journey, he has tried experimenting with abstract along with realism and has used various mediums in his repertoire. For his forte and choices, he prefers to use both oil and acrylic and can bring out various textures in it.
