Artist Vrushali Patil Sapkale was born in 1978 in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, India. She has taken an immense liking to the field of art since her formative years, and this is what primarily led her towards pursuing her higher education in Pune. Having garnered formal education in G. D. Art. in 2000 & Dip. A. Ed. in 2001, she went on to get a degree in Master of Fine Art in 2017. Now thriving as an artist in Pune, her career has bloomed over a span of 20 years, with plenty of enthralling paintings to her name.
Vrushali has perfected the art of creating a confluence of the old and the new via the amalgamation of new technology with classical methods. These days, she has immersed herself into the genres of Indian Iconography, Gods, Weapons, Mythical Animals, Incarnations of Gods, Creative Forms Based on various country-specific cultures, and numerous other fabulous creative forms.

The hybrid representation of mythical animals and human beings hold a foremost position amongst other depictions in Indian Art. Relatively unexplored through research, these fascinating depictions found a way into my painting. They represent the many raw emotion of an animal and the intelligence of a human, sometimes, vice-versa. These unique beings not only have been written about in various Vedas, but their sculptures are also seen in many old Indian temples, stupa, caves etc.
I have added my perspective to this form of Art in my own individual style.
