More About Artist Nirmalendu Mandal

A very senior and experienced visual artist Nirmalendu Mandal was born in 1954 in Kolkata, West Bengal. He is currently Assistant Art Director in a leading Newspaper Organisation (ABP Group).

His statement about his art:

"The subject of my work springs from the real world. And my imagination resides in the hazy world where the conscious and the subconscious move freely. That’s why my paintings are paintings of solitude. Reflections of subconsciousness, the sound of nature’s purity sends me on travels in solitude. Frequently, the woman expresses herself in the female form. This woman at times takes the shape of divinity."
