Abhishek Taluka (b-1992) is an Indian Artist born in Jaipur and brought up in Delhi. He completed his education in Delhi and later had a Diploma in Fine Arts from Kalaneri Academy of Fine Arts, Jaipur.
He is working in all types of mediums be it oil, acrylic, watercolors, colored pens and pencils, charcoal as well as Soot or Kajal (derived from carbon of vehicles).
He uses Soot, the purest form of charcoal, as his main medium to create realistic artwork based on his series ‘The Rich Heritage’. ‘The Rich Heritage’ tries to grab the attention of its audience toward the real glorious beauties from the past of Indian culture that are in danger of exploitation by its admirers.
As Soot is derived from burning, as a medium this series depicts that these sites are been brought to an extinction same as things are left after burning.
It’s a social urge to be a helping hand from own side and save the glory of Indian heritage.
